Mindfulness

We practice Mindfulness every day at school.  Mindfulness is all about being fully in the present moment.  We are learning how to calm our bodies and minds through various breathing exercises.  This helps us to focus on what we are learning and channel our positive energy.

We have been using our new PBS strategy.... PAUSE, BREATHE, SMILE.

We enjoy learning new breathing techniques from our "Breathe Like a Bear" book (by Kira Willey).  So far we have discovered 'Candle Breath' and 'Hot Chocolate Breath".  We will continue trying out different ways of helping us settle our mind and body so that we feel calm and peaceful.
